Miniature Silky Does

MSFG Association logo

All of our goats are registered with the Miniature Silky Fainting Goat Association (MSFGA).

They are tested and negative for CL (Caseous Lymphaden), CAE (Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis), and Johne’s disease. Goats are regularly treated with CDT and wormed.

All are 100% fainters. More over, they are all loved and spoiled beyond belief!!

Racing for Home Jacey

Jacey was an unexpected, yet fortuitous, addition to our herd in 2017 when her new family was unable to take her in.

  • DOB:  January 20, 2017

  • Sire:  Westwind Acres Lucky Seven

  • Dam:  Sol-Orr's Emma Leigh

  • Tri-color with marbled blue eyes

Reserved prior to her birth, Jacey was destined for greatness.  We mourned the loss of her new family only slightly as we celebrated the opportunity to have her in our herd.  Descended from the first doe and buck to join our household, she truly is the Racing for Home foundation.  Her dam retired and lives with us as well so we have the pleasure of a mother daughter bond.  Jacey has it all!  Flashy color, marbled blue eyes, petite stature with stunning conformation, she stands solidly amongst our top goats.  Carrying the potential for extreme coat with a personality that outshines, we are thankful for her every day.

Racing for Home Jezebel

Jezebel, retained in 2017, is a daughter to two of our foundation goats that have since moved to their new herd.

  • DOB:  January 27, 2017

  • Sire:  Westwind Acres Lucky Seven

  • Dam:  Randolph's HoneyBee

  • Abbreviated buckskin with white overlay

Jezebel is a stunning doe with incredible lines in her background.  She has absolutely no undercoat, a super silky top coat with flashy color and evenness in the length.  She has the petite bone structure of her Dam and the extreme coat of her Sire.  She exhibits the solid conformation we value in our lines with the correct ear set and elegance expected of the breed.  She is the epitome of what we look to establish as our line.

Racing for Home Lotus Flower

Lotus was born right here on our farm and we knew she'd be a keeper from day one!

  • DOB:  March 16, 2019

  • Sire:  MCH Full Circle Wisdom

  • Dam:  Racing for Home Jezebel

  • Brown and white

Lotus is a stunning goat with an extreme coat and fabulous conformation. She could use a bit more in the bangs category, but otherwise she's got it all. Maxing out her Jr Grand Champion legs, she demonstrates how each generation can be improved upon the last - and still maintain the things you love.

Racing for Home Maleficent

mini silky fainting doe

Maleficent was born right here on our farm, had the opportunity to go live with another incredible breeder for a couple of years to develop, and then rejoined our herd in May 2022!

  • DOB:  February 5, 2020

  • Sire:  MCH Full Circle Wisdom

  • Dam:  Racing for Home Firefly

  • Black with 2 white spots

We were thrilled to bring Maleficent back into the herd, she has developed into a lovely, fine boned goat with incredible bangs and a coat that is growing in as perfectly even as possible. She is a second generation Racing for Home breeding, and her dam has since retired from the show and breeding arena after taking several Reserve Grand Champion titles in her day. Maleficent will enter the show ring in 2023 and we look forward to great things from her!

Racing for Home Misty Morning

Misty embodies everything this program is striving for. One of triplets, she has been stealing the show and taking two reserve grand champion titles before she was a year old.

  • DOB:  February 9, 2020

  • Sire:  Full Circle Santa Baby

  • Dam:  Racing for Home Jacey

  • White

She is from a line of does that kid easily and have stunning conformation. Her Dam and Granddam remain on our farm as foundational herd members, and we are thrilled to see their genes carried forward. Her sire is an incredible buck that adds tons of hair and a silky texture to his kids. Misty won the gene lottery and got the best from everyone!

MCH KE Paradys Denali

Denali joined our herd in October 2021 from KE Paradys in Southern Maryland.

  • DOB:  September 20, 2020

  • Sire:  MCH Randolph’s Juneau

  • Dam:  Ellie at KE Paradys

  • Tricolor

I have coveted goats from KE Paradys for years and finally had an opportunity to add a doe to our herd! And the best part is that she brings a background of Randolph’s genetics with her, which simply enhances the Randolph genes we already have in our lines. Taking a Grand Champion Junior Doe title her first time in the ring, this doe showcases everything we look for - solid structure, coat for miles, and bangs with a full head of hair and cheek muffs.

Racing for Home Nefertiti

Nefertiti is the last kid to be retained from our foundation doe Sol-Orr’s Emma Leigh. She comes from a long line of proven does and I am so thankful to have her in our herd.

  • DOB:  March 6, 2021

  • Sire:  MCH Flying J Flash Forward

  • Dam:  Sol-Orr’s Emma Leigh

  • White with Fawn and Black

Nefertiti was a bit of a sentimental keeper, as her dam is getting older. But she is developing into a lovely little goat with bangs, coat, and cheek muffs to spare. Her half-sister, Jacey, and her aunt Misty Morning already grace our herd with their steady personalities and incredible ability to carry and deliver twins and triplets naturally. Nefertiti will enter the show ring in 2023, and I look forward to being able to retain another generation of kids from her!

Racing for Home Persephone

Persephone is a 3rd generation doe on our farm, her lineage traces back to our foundation doe! She is a head turner and many show breeders have asked to be on the list for kids from her. She enters our breeding line up in 2024, and I cannot wait!

  • DOB:  February 13, 2022

  • Sire:  MCH Full Circle Wisdom

  • Dam:  Racing for Home Misty Morning

  • White

I think I squealed when Persephone was born. She came out simply perfect, a carbon copy of her Dam with all the best traits from her sire. She is very petite in stature and embraces the elegance of the breed in full. Her coat grew in quickly, hitting floor length prior to ever freshening. She has a fabulous headdress and all the furnishings. She is spot on in conformation, and when I look at her direct lineage from my foundation doe Sol-Orr’s Emma Leigh to Racing for Home Jacey, to Racing for Home Misty Morning and now to Persephone, the careful genetic selection and planned herd improvement I’ve been striving for has come to fruition!
