LIVESTOCK CONSERVANCY AND HANDCRAFTED BODY CARE PRODUCTS

The Little Farm That Cares

A Place for All Creatures, Large and Small

In January 2011, our dreams came true and we started a small farm in Central NJ. Our goal has always been to focus on livestock conservancy and sustainable living. We are members of the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy, helping to ensure the future of agriculture through the genetic conservation and promotion of endangered breeds of livestock and poultry. 100% of the proceeds from your purchases go directly to the care and maintenance of the Conservancy Livestock on the farm.

We have been active in Greyhound rescue for many, many years, and in a way it was the hounds that shaped our direction in life.  It was only natural to name the homestead after the gentle creatures that share our life.

We are proud partners of Eco-Soap Bank, 501(c)(3), ensuring that all of our soap scraps and a full-size bar from every batch are donated directly. In addition, a monthly monetary donation supported by your purchases goes out to the group. We are also members of Greener Life Club - showing our dedication to green practices and sustainable living.

  • Mini Silky Goat kids have arrived! All of our reservations have been filled and we still have a few kids available for you. Breedings are listed on our Mini Silky Page and available kids are listed. I also have a few adult does that are looking for a new pasture - scroll to the bottom of the page for their listings.

  • Magpie ducks have begun their 2024 laying season has begun in earnest, and our incubator is running! Our contact list has been notified of egg availability, and duckling will be available in about 2 weeks. Sexed juvenile ducks will be available in limited quantity in Fall 2024 and will be offered to our contact list in a First Come, First Served manner.

  • Due to continued low hatch rates for Sebastopol goslings, I no longer offer shipping and am only taking names as a contact list. There was a zero-hatch rate in 2020 and 2021 but the 2022 season produced 4 stunning goslings! 2023 hatching was unsuccessful, all contact list names remain in place for 2024. Goslings will be announced on arrival and available first come, first serve to the contact list.

  • Royal Palm Turkeys are back!  Due to the delicate nature of poults and the small size of my flock, I am not offering to ship turkey poults. Hatching eggs are completely sold out for the season but get on our contact list now in case of cancellations! Poults are arriving in 2 weeks; our contact list is the first to know. Sexed juvenile turkey will be available in limited quantity in Fall 2024 and will be offered to our contact list in a First Come, First Served manner.
